Ys Origin

The game was rated PEGI 12 for the use of offensive language and mild violence towards human-like characters. Not appropriate for persons below 12 years of age.
Ys Origin is a prequel to the six previous iterations of the Ys video game series. It takes place 700 years before the events of Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished, and tells much of the backstory of Ys, Darm Tower, the Black Pearl, the twin goddesses, and the six priests.

Game contains the occasional use of the offensive words ‘crap’ and ‘bitch’. Violence in the game is regarded as mild due to the lack of realism. Combat between human-like characters is a frenetic affair and involves overly exaggerated action and reaction from the characters. Hits are denoted by a flash of light, and smokey blood effects, coloured either black or red.
