The evil Hivory Towers corporation, headed by Capital B, plot a devious scheme to absorb all of the world’s books and convert them into pure profit. Buddies Yooka and Laylee set out to recover magical pages and thwart the evil plans.

Fantasy characters attack the players. When defeated they generally fall back and disappear in a puff of smoke. The game’s setting is child-friendly, but features some bosses that can be disturbing to young children.

Other issues

The dialogue features some very subtle and obscure innuendo jokes.
