This game was rated PEGI 16 for sustained moderate violence. Not suitable for persons under 16 years of age.
Players can choose from their favourite WWE stars or create their own wrestling character, then compete against AI or other players. The PC edition includes DLC content such as the Hall of Fame Showcase and Arnold Schwarzenegger Terminator character.

Rating issues

As in televised WWE and previous WWE games, players engage in both unarmed (punching, throwing, slamming, kicking, stomping or elbowing) and armed (with a baseball bat, steel chair or even sledgehammer) violence with their opponents. Violence is met with realistic reactions and characters may also appear bruised after sustained beatings. Live action footage is also included and shows famous fights between WWE superstars, which can be bloody at times.

The game features online playing capability which may involve real-time interaction with other players.
