Action-adventure game, picking up from the end of Yakuza 4. It follows Kazuma Kiryu alongside four other protagonists and traces their struggles in Japan’s criminal underworld.

Rating issues

The game features sustained depictions of bloody violence. One example includes a finisher move in which the player’s character grabs their opponent’s hand and cuts the tip of their forefinger off with a pair of pliers. One cut scene also features torture, as a man is restrained while another man pushes his fingers into a bloody wound.

Other issues

Dialogue features frequent use of the word ‘fuck’ and its derivatives. The game also features a casino, where the player can take tutorials and play games such as Omaha Hold’Em and roulette.
