Criminal Girls: Invitation is effectively an RPG in which the player’s character and companions are required to negotiate various levels of a prison from which they are attempting to escape. This is interspersed with turn based combative events in which the player can nominate a character or characters (always female) to engage in combat. The violence depicted is non-realistic.

The game also includes a mini-game in which the player is required to punish one or all of the characters, currently being played. The objective is to ‘level up’ the characters abilities. The characters seen are female and are presented in skimpy clothing and more often than not posing in a suggestive manner. Punishment takes the form of tickling, being whipped with a riding crop, touching with an electrical rod and dripping oil onto the selected character’s body. This activity is regarded as sexual violence.
