The player’s character may pick up items which help them in gameplay. One of these items is painkillers, which provides healing to the player.

The majority of the game is spent navigating through either dimly lit buildings or wooded areas with only a torch to provide illumination. The torch can also be used to render an attacking character vulnerable to firearm attacks: when directly shone at a character it will cause disorientation. The game contains various jump scares throughout.

This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items, in the form of DLC, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.
