SPYxANYA: Operation Memories

Game based on the anime series SPYxFAMILY, in which players take on the role of Anya, a telepathic six-year-old, who takes her family on a series of outings which she then describes in the journal she’s been assigned to create for school. At the end of each day, players can take part in a series of mini-games, including dodgeball, cooking and endless runner games.

Rating issues

One of the mini-games in the collection is a beat-‘em-up game in which players control a woman who must defeat waves of bad guys. She uses melee attacks such as kicks and jabs, which knocks the enemies back. Characters make pained noises and they sometimes fall down or fly backwards in slow motion. Characters remain on the ground shortly before disappearing. Other mini-games feature milder forms of violence.

Other issues

One of the mini-games lets Anya play card games with her classmates or family. The card game is called Tycoon and consists of playing cards in a certain order, from low to high, and getting rid of your cards the fastest. There is no gambling involved. Completing certain objectives rewards the player with raffle tickets, which may result in points or cosmetics being awarded, although it is not possible to purchase additional tickets.

Before an outing to a museum, Anya discusses it with her parents and mentions she wants to go there to see ‘boobies’.
