Rating issues

This game contains sustained depictions of death to human-like characters. During combat, the player uses weapons to attack large hordes of humanoid characters. When hit, a flash of light is seen, while number damage appears overhead. What sounds like groaning is heard accompanying this. When defeated, enemies disappear in large blood puddles on the ground. These puddles disappear a second later. These hordes continually surround the player’s character until the player has reached their kill count goal. When the player character is killed, the background turns black as they yell before exploding into specks of dust. No blood or injuries are seen.

Other issues

This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items in the form of a link from the main menu to platform stores that will show any future DLC and bundled editions of the game, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.

There are some disturbing images during gameplay. The ground is often covered with what appear to be veins, and enemies appear from puddles on the ground that resemble blood. As the game is set in the underworld/Hell, environments and characters may be scary to younger players.

At one point in the game, text is seen which describes a character’s backstory. There is a mention of a character having taken her own life. No details are given, and no images are seen of this happening.

During gameplay, players will encounter “text events” that reveal memories of the deceased. One such event includes a text prompt where players can choose an option to “get drunk.” In this event, players are presented with a text prompt and a still image. They will then select an option, and then read the resulting text. No actual consumption of alcohol is shown on screen, and players themselves do not consume alcohol.
