Rating issues

During the game, the player is presented with different cards that they can use to switch in and out of their deck. These cards will be used to give damage to enemies in combat. Oftentimes, these cards have still images with disturbing images, one of the most pertinent being the hand of a character being stabbed with a sword with large amounts of blood accompanying this.

Other issues

This game contains non-realistic violence towards fantasy characters. Combat is turn-based, and moves are decided by selecting from various cards. When hit, characters will either flash, or a coloured outline will appear around them. There are never any verbal pain reactions. Certain moves will cause the characters to “bleed”, which is shown as red droplets raining around them and then splashing on the ground before they disappear. When defeated, characters fade from the screen.

One random encounter allows the player to have a “quick round” at a “brewery, ” restoring the parties’ health. However, no actual use of alcohol is seen, it is only referred to. The card that accompanies this encounter depicts an image of tankards of beer.
