Rating issues

Violence during gameplay is generally non-realistic in nature but violence during cinematic scenes is stronger, with characters reacting realistically to being stabbed and shot, with some blood effects. One scene features slaves dragging a carriage. The slaves are whipped, causing them to moan and cry in pain, with cuts and lash marks visible on their backs and some sight of blood spraying up. In another scene an enemy character who has been left for dead in a burning building is repeatedly stabbed.

The game also contains depictions of simulated gambling. Players can enter a district in which they can enter casinos and play various games of chance. These include Poker, Blackjack, Mahjong, Oicho-Kabu and Koi-Koi.

There is use of strong language (‘fuck’), as well as milder terms including ‘shit’, ‘bastard’, ‘piss’, ‘bitch’ and ‘dickhead’.

Other issues

This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items, in the form of bonus boss fight characters, which can be bought with real world currency. Some parents or carers may want to be aware of this. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.

Players are also able to take a hostess on a date. This includes suggestive language and postering but no nudity.
