Violence only occurs during boss-fights. Although the protagonist can be attacked by the boss, being hit does not result in any harm. Instead, the player’s character is thrown out of the world and has to travel back to the boss. The bosses can be harmed, although violence is unrealistic in nature, as are reactions to it. There is no blood or injury detail.

The monsters featured in these boss-fights are first encountered in dark rooms, in which they awaken in the background. Both these scenes and the fights themselves feature scary sound effects. Some bosses also feature designs that may scare young children.
