The latest in the series of historical strategy games. In this game, players take on the role of a Japanese feudal lord, during the troubled times of the Warring States period in 16th Century Japan, and must head their own clan and attempt to unify the country.

Rating issues

Gameplay violence is moderate but generally unrealistic in nature with groups of soldiers moving towards each other, firing, or thrusting their weapons with little physical reaction. The sounds of battle can be heard but no blood or injuries are depicted, with damage indicated by numbers. Cinematics feature more realistic impressions of medieval battle but the mixture of still images and minimal animation mean the violence is more implied than explicitly depicted.

Bad language includes use of ‘bastard’.

This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items in the form of DLC which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.
