Characters can engage in fighting. However, because the characters are represented by playing cards, which show only still images, there is no realistic violence. For example, arrows may pierce cards, leaving a red smear with number damage indicated. When defeated, the relevant cards are placed on a deck under a scythe sign. A cinematic scene shows a character apparently impaled though the chest, but with no blood or injury detail.

The game also includes references to alcohol but no sight of consumption.
