Action adventure game, the latest in the Borderlands series of games. New Tales from the Borderlands is an episodic narrative-driven adventure which will comprise five episodes, all set within the Borderlands universe.

Rating issues

This game contains realistic violence, which is sometimes graphic. In one scene, a sharpened metal rod is plunged into a character’s head, while in another scene, the rod is plunged into a character’s neck. In both cases, this results in sight of blood and gurgling noises. At another point, a firearm is pushed into a character’s eye socket, causing pain and blood splatter.

The game also includes use of strong language (‘f**k’), as well as milder terms.

Other issues

A bar includes a fountain which dispenses alcohol, which the player’s character can drink straight from the fountain.
