Rating issues

In some scenes it is implied that people have been killed by animals in the zoo. When an animal pounces at a human, a flash is shown and a news article appears outlining what happened. While the violent encounters are not shown, a puddle of blood and a lump of meat can be seen on the ground afterwards, although the human characters are non-detailed and pixelated.

Other issues

Players are able to select ‘higher’ or ‘lower’ moral options in the game, including aborting animals during the breeding programme, trading animals on the black market, or processing animals to produce meat, leather and fur products. All these options take place through menus and are not visually depicted.

The game also includes references to alcohol production, with the player being able to grow hops and manufacture beer to sell in the zoo’s brewery. However, no consumption of alcohol is shown.
