Side-scrolling action platform game in which a boy called Flynn must learn to master special powers in order to stop an evil overlord from destroying his world.

Gameplay features frequent violence towards non-detailed human-like and fantasy characters, involving the use of various weapons such as swords, claws and axes, or magic attacks. Violence and reactions are unrealistic: enemies have health bars which reduce, and these enemies then disappear in puffs of smoke when defeated. Some designs in the game could be frightening to young children, especially those seen in boss-battles.
