Side-scrolling fighting game, presented in the hand-drawn style of the original Asterix comics. Players can switch between controlling Asterix or Obelix as they travel the world and defeat enemies.

Rating issues

There is mild violence against human and animal characters throughout the game. However, the violence is comic and unrealistic. Characters can be knocked down, resulting in comic book-style speech bubbles appearing which say things such as ‘Pow’ or ‘Oof’, after which they simply get up again. Characters can also be knocked into the air, causing them to disappear off-screen. There are no visible injuries. When Asterix or Obelix’s health is depleted, they simply sit down and their mission fails.

Other issues

There are some references to wine and beer but alcohol does not play a prominent role in the game and cannot be used by the player.
