Rating issues

This game contains frequent depictions of strong violence towards human-like and animal-like characters. The vast majority of the violence occurs during the gameplay. The player controls a group of soldiers and machines as they battle against the opposition. The violence is shown from a distance, with characters appearing small on the screen. The vast majority of the violence is inflicted using firearms and explosives. When characters are attacked, blood appears upon impact although there are no visible wounds. All units have a health bar, which is visible above their heads. When they have been defeated, they fall to the floor and their bodies remain in place for the duration of the mission.

Examples of more realistic violence can be found in the game’s cutscenes, in which characters are seen being shot and physically attacked. They react realistically, letting out cries of pain and limply falling to the floor. Wounds are visible and blood can often be seen pooling out from beneath them.

Other issues

There is a scene in which a man takes his own life, after being captured by the opposing side. When he is asked to comply with his captors, he blows himself up rather than give them any information. The violent act is obscured by a cloud of smoke and there is no blood or gore.

There are some gory images, including sight of a severed arm after a violent act that is not shown.

The game also includes use of bad language (‘shit’, ‘bastard’, ‘asshole’).
