Unruly Heroes is a 2D kung-fu adventure game inspired by the 16th century Chinese novel, ‘Journey to the West’. Assuming the role of one of four heroes, players face environmental obstacles, unexpected challenges and fight against various enemies.

Violence is mostly non-realistic and minor in nature. The heroes can attack enemies in a variety of ways but the reaction to attacks remains similar, with enemies flashing when hit and dissolving into particles when defeated. Some of the ‘boss fights’ feature creatures that are likely to be scary to younger children.
