The game begins with the central character consuming ‘Premium Beer’ until he falls asleep. While trapped in the dream world, the player must solve various puzzles and overcome obstacles in time to wake up and save his beer from falling onto the floor.

Escape from the dream world is achieved by the character taking his own life, at which point the level is complete. Suicide is not promoted or condoned and is simply a means of moving to the next level. Blood and injuries are not depicted and the screen fades to black when a level is complete.
