Physical attacks using hands, feet and, knees do cause minor amounts of blood splatter, however as the severity of the weapon used increases there is a corresponding rise in the amount of blood effects seen. A bladed weapon such as a samurai sword causes large amounts of blood whereas a knife causes somewhat less; an assault rifle because of the number of shots that can be fired produces the most sustained blood splatter.
