Hyper Light Drifter is an action adventure RPG. Drifters of this world are the collectors of forgotten knowledge, lost technologies and broken histories. Our Drifter is haunted by an aggressive illness, traveling further into the lands of Buried Time, hoping to discover a way to quieten the vicious disease.

Game contains frequent depictions of violence towards fantasy characters caused through the use of bladed weapons and firearms. Small characters can be quickly killed and then disappear. Larger characters will respond realistically to being attacked, and either disappear after a few hits or will fall to the ground and remain in view. Regardless of the size of the character attacked, hits are indicated by large and small blood splatters.
