Planescape Torment (PST) and Icewind Dale (IWD) are RPGs set in the D&D fantasy world. PST is set in an extradimensional realm where ideas become reality, while IWD is set in the frozen north of the Forgotten Realms. In each, the player forms a party, goes on quests, kills monsters, and works to uncover the dark forces plotting against them.

Planescape Torment contains the defining age rating violence which is regarded as realistic and involves either the use of hands or bladed weapons. The effect of striking another character is the loss of health points, plus blood splatters.
