Bannermen takes place in the realm of Valtoria, a fantasy medieval world ravaged by decades of war, starvation, and natural disasters. Players take on the role of Lord Berrian, who is trying to recapture his kingdom’s former glory, finding and rallying bannermen to battle against a host of tribes, and the dark Lord Karthor.

Rating issues

This game contains infrequent depictions of gross violence towards human-like characters. The most pertinent example of this is shown during the opening cutscene, where a man is executed by decapitation. Strong blood and gore effects are present, the camera then lingers on the decapitated head after the event.

Other issues

The majority of the violence in this game is realistic in nature and often shown from a distance. Blood effects appear on impact of attacks and victims let out pained screams. When a character has been defeated, their bodies fall to the floor in a pool of blood. Their bodies then remain there for a while before eventually vanishing.
