Ring Fit Adventure is an exergame with a unique tool; a ring. Using this ring as a controller, players go on an adventure to stop an evil dragon from tainting the world with its dark influence. Players have to travers levels running, jumping and fighting enemies using well-known fitness exercises as special moves. Rescue the world and stay fit at the same time!

This game contains turn-based battles between the player (a human) and fantasy creature or other humans. These battles feature over-the-top, cartoon-like violence. Characters react in unrealistic, sometimes comical ways to this violence and do not show any harm or injury from it. Next to that, it also features a final boss battle against a menacing, red-eyed enemy that could scare younger children.
