The Overlord is dead. The Netherworld is in turmoil. Netherworld Prince Laharl awakens to fight for his throne and it’s up to him and some unlikely allies to defend what is rightfully his. Together with his devious vassal Etna, the angel trainee Flonne, and a whole cavalcade of explosive characters, Laharl will slash, shoot, and punch his way to the top. Build your squad to level 9999 and unleash crazy special skills, team attacks, and spells to deal millions of points of damage in this zany high-definition remake of an RPG classic.

Rating issues

Violence consists of turn based battle scenes featuring humans, half human/demons and fantasy characters using a variety weapons and magical abilities to attack each other. Damage is dealt by numbers and when enough points have been lost the defeated foe disappears from the battle field. Blood and injuries are not shown.

Other issues

There are references in the dialogue to ‘anal probing’ during alien abduction and zombies being built with a ‘horses weiner’ but you do not see anything of this nature.
Words such as ‘damn’ and ‘hell’ appear throughout the game.
Some of the female characters are depicted in skimpy bikinis but not human nudity is shown.
