Characters can use swords, long handled axes, spears, bows and arrows to cause realistic looking violence towards human-like characters. Combat is a turn based process, with each character assigned a particular value in terms of strength and weapons. In the early stages of the game both sides only have a low point value and it can take a number of hits before a character is killed. As characters acquire more skills and victories so the strength of weapons etc. increases and enables kills to be accomplished quite quickly. The visual effects of the violence are considered to be moderate, some attacks result in small-blood splatter effects and the bodies of defeated foes remain on the field throughout the battle.
