The game’s story picks up after the events of the first Injustice, with Superman in prison and Batman and his allies restoring order to the planet. Events take a catastrophic turn when Braniac, with the support of Gorilla Grodd and his forces, seeks to eliminate the last Kryptonian and begins a campaign that will result in the complete annihilation of Earth. With such high stakes, Batman must ultimately ally again with Superman in order to save the planet.
