The game is played in the 1st person and consequently violence towards the player’s character is not seen, just some blood splashes around the perimeter of the screen. However, cut scenes are viewed in the 3rd person and some contain acts of strong violence towards defenceless / vulnerable persons, which in this instance are school students. There are two examples that show the severity of violence, the first is a scene in which a young character is pushed to the floor and then severely beaten with a baseball bat until dead and then his corpse is dragged out of the room; the second involves a young character who is killed by a deranged character using a large knife. It is plunged into his chest.
