Rating issues

During battles, giant robots fight against giant monsters. However, the violence is undetailed and no injury is shown to the human characters, who are inside the robots. There is also violence in the narrative scenes, although it is also non-realistic looking. The only weapon of note is a futuristic handgun which can be used either to kill or stun a character. When fired, electrical sparks surround the character who is being shot. The character either recovers or remains motionless on the ground. When this same gun is used against a ‘Terminator’-style robot, lots of electrical sparks emerge from its chest and the robot drops to the floor.

The dialogue contains offensive language, including ‘bastard’, ‘shit’, ‘pissed’, ‘son of a bitch’ and ‘arsehole’.

Other issues

A character travels back in time, from the future, in order to prevent a young boy from growing up to become a ‘mass murderer’. This is achieved by injecting the boy with ‘nanomachines’ that are fired from a gun-like weapon. The nanomachines are used to remove the character’s future propensity to violence. When the trigger is depressed, a green flash appears and the boy clutches his chest and falls to his knees. There are no visible injuries and he appears unhurt. Throughout the scene, the character from the future explains why she is doing this and that what she is doing will not harm him.
