Akiba’s Beat takes place in Akihabara and follows the story of a NEET called Asahi Tachibana, a boy living a regular life after deciding to drop out of college. The game involves the party getting stuck in a world of delusions, trapped in a repeating day long cycle on a Sunday.

Rating issues

This game features frequent depictions of non-realistic looking violence towards human-like characters. Bright lights are shown on impact of the attacks with numbers appearing showing the amount of damage that has been inflicted. No visible injuries are shown, and the characters’ have little to no reaction to the violence taking place. When enemies are defeated they fall to the floor and vanish from the battlefield. This game also features mild bad language with the words “bastard”, “ass” and “piss” being used in dialogue.
