Survival horror game in which a string of ritualistic murders have taken place in the town of Bright Falls, Washington. Saga Anderson, an FBI agent, is sent to investigate the killings and finds herself tangled up in a supernatural story written by Alan Wake.

Rating issues

This game features graphic violence. The use of shotguns can result in dismemberment while live action cutscenes include sight of a ritual ceremony in which a heart is cut out and another scene in which a restrained individual is shot in their head.

Dialogue includes use of strong language (‘fuck’).

Other issues

The game also includes verbal references to suicide, although suicide is not shown, and scenes of threat, including jump scares and characters being chased.

This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items, in the form of DLC, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers, or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.
