Atelier Sophie: the Alchemist of the Mysterious Book

Without a mentor or reference guide to teach her, Sophie’s alchemy attempts repeatedly fail time and time again. One day however, she comes across a mysterious book that moves and talks by its own free will. Sophie’s goal is to restore the book’s memories and its former human form.

Game features turn based combat in which human characters fight fantasy characters, the human characters can use a staff, hammer, sword, projectile weapon and bombs against the enemy characters. Each hit suffered by a character will reduce its HP. When this reaches zero the character’s stats will turn red and in the case of a fantasy character it will disappear and a human character will fall to the floor. The violence is non-realistic looking.

There is also the use of mild swearing (bastard) and offensive language (crap),
