Rating issues
This game contains strong gory images. Players are presented with corpses (who have often died in extreme circumstances) and must cut open the bodies and dissect the organs to discover the cause of death. During the dissection of organs, puffs of blood are seen, alongside the sound effects of tools being used. Some cadavers have particularly detailed wounds, such as a decapitation and dismemberment of limbs. Bloodstains can be seen across different pieces of equipment such as medical trays, knives and saws. The game also contains frequent jumpscares; with human figures appearing at windows briefly.
The player character frequently references going out for a drink. In some scenes, the player is directed to take a drink to progress the story. Within these scenes, the player’s character is heard slurring as they speak, before passing out.
This game also contains the use of strong language, including ‘fuck’. Milder bad language is also present, including ‘shit’, ‘piss’ and ‘goddamn’.
Other issues
All corpses are inspected while they are completely naked on the autopsy table. There are both male and female corpses, and breasts, as well as genitalia, are seen. These are not sexual in nature. Some sexual innuendo is seen throughout the game with posters which appear in the player’s apartment which have female characters in provocative clothing/posing. Also, within the protagonists office drawer, the player is able to discover erotic magazines, a box of tissues and some lotion. The player can not interact with these at any point in the game.
At the end of the game, implied violence is found, with the player being attacked. This is seen from a first-person perspective before the player’s character drops to the ground and the screen turns black. No injuries are seen. In one of the endings, two characters are heard exchanging gunfire. Off-screen gunshots can be heard, and it is implied that a character is killed off-screen, although the violence is not seen, nor is the aftermath of this.
Drug references are frequently found throughout the game. Cigarettes can be found on the desk in the office. The player is never able to interact with these. The player character also takes an unnamed medication frequently throughout the game.
There are references in the game to sexual assault, although no images are shown of this actually happening.
There are references throughout the game to characters taking their own lives. The act itself is not depicted in-game.
