On Halloween night, Scarecrow releases a new fear toxin throughout Gotham, causing the evacuation of the city. With only criminals left, Batman must contain the chaos in Gotham.

Rating issues

There are infrequent scenes of violence towards defenceless persons. In one, a man is tied up and beaten across the face by an armed thug. This will continue as long as the player takes to intervene. In another, the player is able to shoot a hostage. Batman also holds down and interrogates a man as he threatens to roll over the man’s head with his Batmobile.

Other issues

The majority of the game features milder, though still mature, violence with Batman’s reasonably realistic take downs of whole crowds of enemies with powerful hands-on combat. There are also some realistic shootings.
