This game contains frequent depictions of non-realistic looking violence towards human-like and animal-like characters. Characters brightly flash red when hit, as small splatters of blood fly into the air before pooling on the floor. Characters then limply fall to the floor with no visible injuries left on their bodies. Because the violence is shown from a very distant top-down angle, the characters appear very small on the screen, which reduces the detail of the violence shown and lessens its impact. Characters can also be killed by triggering spike traps. This also results in some sight of blood. Enemies are fantastical in nature and explode into brightly coloured crystals that can be collected.
