Beginning with the aftermath of a massacre in your home town, the faceless bodies of the deceased lying in the snow, violence consists of you using anything from a carrot to a rocket launcher, to bash, slash or shoot the enemy. Gameplay is fast-paced and frenetic as you run through the levels, negotiating the obstacles of the landscape. Responses to being attacked are over-exaggerated and unrealistic in nature with characters being knocked around like rag-doll.
At random intervals the camera will zoom in on enemy faces and play in slow-motion as you kill them returning to normal.
Visible injuries are not shown but excessive amounts of blood are used throughout the sustained violence, culminating with the dead remaining on the ground and piling up in high traffic areas.
Sexual expletives and offensive language are use rarely in the subtitles but include the words ‘fuck’, ‘fucked’, ‘fucking’, ‘bastard’, ‘bloody’, ‘motherfucker’, ‘goddamn’ and ‘shit’.
