The game contains several jump scares and scenes that generate a sense of constant threat and dread. One scene takes place on a strange planet in the dark with only a torch for light and monsters with glowing red eyes. At one point, one of these monsters suddenly crosses your path, accompanied by tense music. There is also a scene where you have to keep looking between two corridors as the lights fade in and out whilst you power the generator. Weeping Angels (stone angel statues from the Doctor Who series) move towards you every time the lights go out so when it’s light again, they are closer and closer to you.
