The graphics and gameplay of this 2D scroller series are typical of early 90s arcade games. The whole series features frequent punching, kicking, whipping and hitting with bats, to which enemies will falls backwards, then either get up again or let out a slight groan, flash and disappear. Occasionally, playable characters or enemies can use knives or swords, which will produce a non-realistic looking red blood spurt.
