Players encounter a range of fantastical enemy creatures, which must be defeated by shooting at them with orb-like projectiles. Enemies blink when hit and disappear when defeated. The player’s character can also be hurt by enemies. When hit, the player’s character makes a noise and blinks, losing one of their three hearts.
