Violence consists of civilians and soldiers being eaten by giant insects. There are blood effects, but the characters respond unrealistically, carrying on uninjured after they have been spat out. When they are shot, human characters will either show no physical response or turn completely limp like a ragdoll. Meanwhile, shooting or throwing explosives at the giant insects causes a blood effect and often the creatures will be blown into pieces. The game also includes occasional mild swearing, with the words ‘bastard’ and ‘shit’.
