Characters can be attacked using a sword and arrows, resulting in large splashes of blood. Characters can also be dismembered. There are scenes in which a man on a rack is pulled apart, a man’s head is bitten off, and a woman on an altar is crushed by a falling stone.

There is a scene of suicide in which a character takes a sacrificial dagger and plunges it into his own chest.
