Ellen is a 2D pixel horror game in which you play as James, an intelligent and eager investigator who is trying to get to the bottom of the paranormal events happening in Smiths’ Manor at White Hill. You have to uncover the dark truth behind the murder of the Smiths’ and their missing daughter Ellen.

Rating issues

Violence consists of your 2D pixelated character having knives thrown at them by some spider-like creature. Your character is stabbed multiple times and falls to the ground as the screen goes black. Due to the retro style graphics, the details are very limited, and no gore is shown.

Other issues

When left inactive, your character will light and smoke a cigarette, but this is not shown in great detail and the player gains no bonus from this activity.
