This game was rated PEGI 12 for frequent fantasy violence and infrequent, mild swearing. Not suitable for persons under 12 years of age.
Knight Cecil and his eclectic group work to stop evil sorcerer Golbez from seizing powerful crystals and destroying the world. Most gameplay is story-based, over direct action which takes the form of turn-based battles.

Rating issues

This game was rated PEGI 12 for frequent, non-realistic violence towards human and animal-like characters. Attacks, which feature no visible contact between combatants, are usually accompanied by bright flashes or clouds of smoke. Characters barely flinch when struck and their enemies disappear when killed. In the CG opening, any violence is hidden by bright, obscuring light.

There is also occasional use of the word ‘Hell’, such as Golbez’s threat to save a space in Hell for the game’s heroes.
