This game was rated PEGI 16 for frequent scenes of mild to moderate violence. It is not suitable for persons under 16 years of age.
The game begins in Cocoon as the citizens of the town of Bodhum are being evicted, or Purged, from Cocoon when a fal’Cie from Pulse was discovered near Bodhum. When your party meet the fal’Cie, you are turned into l’Cie by it and must find and complete your focus before you turn into crystal.

Rating issues

The majority of the gameplay contains non-realistic violence towards humans, however there are many cinematic sequences depicting violence in more graphical detail including human characters being shot and killed.
