While much of the violence in the game is non-realistic, the cut scenes feature depictions of realistic looking violence to humans, with blood and injury shown. This game also features sustained depictions of death, as most of the gameplay and progression requires the player to partake in combat to further the story. This game also features encouragement of the use of tobacco, characters can smoke a pipe which grants them a Protect benefit.
