During gameplay, characters will strike each other with swords and pikes, causing them to stumble or fall backwards. Often characters will remain standing, unharmed, or they will be exaggeratedly flung backwards in slow motion. There are never any visible injuries; instead, there are small flashes and numbers showing damage. Cut scenes also feature non-realistic violence, such as characters being struck with swords, arrows or even stabbing themselves, but there is never any visible injury and all violence is accompanied by flashes or coloured smoke. There is some brief minor realistic violence, when a woman is pushed down to the ground by her neck by a dragon; there is no injury to her. There is also some infrequent mild bad language, such as the phrase ‘damn you’.
