Some of the games feature moderate violence. In beat-‘em-up games, when characters are hit, there is a flash of light, usually followed by an exaggerated response and a reduction in the character’s health. At the conclusion of a bout, the defeated character falls to the ground. The violence is non-realistic looking. the game ‘Strider’ features some instances of violence which result in blood splatter that quickly disappears. Other games feature milder violence, such as shooting aliens, and implied violence, such as fighting between planes.
