The game features the use of modern weaponry which is used against human-like characters. The majority of the violence is moderate and realistic. Some of the larger calibre weapons can, when fired at a close range at the head of a character, cause the head of the character to explode. This is accompanied by a large amount of blood effects. Knife attacks are used quite extensively in the melee mode. There are occasions in a melee when the knife is thrust up through underside of the chin into the head of a character, withdrawn and then plunged into the brow area between the eyes. Other styles of knife attack involve inserting a knife into the eye socket of the victim. Again, this is accompanied with large amounts of blood effects.
