The majority of the combat involves the use of ‘standard’ firearms such as handguns, automatic weapons and shotguns, large blood splatters appear when a character is shot. The violence depicted from the use of these weapons is a mixture of realistic and sustained depictions of death.

The use of ‘heavier’ weapons notably a grenade launcher and exploding barrels will cause more dramatic effects. Characters killed by the use of those weapons immediately disappear enveloped in a large cloud of blood. Although this provides a ‘spectacular’ look it is not realistic and is out of proportion to the size of the characters, which are quite small in size and only take up a small portion of the screen. There are no body parts visible when the cloud dissipates.
